CypherCC

Code. Compete. Contribute.

About the club.

Founded to turn raw curiosity into engineering skill, CypherCC runs the department's contest ecosystem end to end. Every week: a practice round with editorials written by seniors. Every semester: a 24-hour hackathon and an open-source contribution sprint. Every year: teams that qualify for national and regional contests, trained on a curriculum we built ourselves.

What we run

  • Weekly Practice Rounds A rated contest every Sunday, with handwritten editorials and office hours for beginners.
  • Mega Hackathon 24 hours, real problems, real APIs. Teams ship working products, judged by working code, not slides.
  • Open-Source Sprints A weekend each semester spent landing real contributions to upstream projects, with mentorship.
  • Contest Prep Track A structured curriculum that takes members from language basics to ICPC-style problem solving.
